GC checks football clubs by links to gambling operators’ websites

The UKGC is reportedly now launching an investigation into Premier League and Championship clubs that have posted links to child-friendly sites on their pages.

Several teams will be under GC’s scrutiny for providing direct links to betting sites from their child-focused pages, according to a recent BBC Sport report. In accordance with applicable gambling advertising and sponsorship policies, web pages intended for persons under the age of 18 must not contain credits or links from gambling sponsors.
